Written by HD from the Sigames forum...
OTF Fantasy: Top 4 sides are in for the postseason with a week to spare.
There are 5 sides competing for the last spot:

5.  Monsters of Medislam 7-6-0 .538 1466.73 L-3
6.  The Sussex Vikings   7-6-0 .538 1430.52 L-1
7.  afc Better         6-7-0 .462 1556.51 L-2
8.  TB_Pirates           6-7-0 .462 1435.83 W-1
9.  Mile High Jets       6-7-0 .462 1396.00 W-2

In the final week, unbelievably, 5th plays 6th and 7th plays 8th.
9th plays the team in 10th, Eastside.
Given fractional scoring, we can pretty much assume there will be no ties.

So, the winner of 5th v 6th is in, guaranteed.
That leaves four teams looking at one spot. The loser of 7th v 8th is out, so that's 3 teams, 2 of which are guaranteed a 7-7 record.

If 9th (HD) loses, I'm out, so I have to win and hope for a big points swing.
If afc Better (thats me ) wins they have an insurmountable points advantage and would close out that 6th spot.

Medislam, Vikings and Pirates are all within 37 points of each other and so have to look to beat each other as well as their direct rival.
I'm a further 35 or so back, so will be looking at making up at least 40 to have any chance.

Should be a fun weekend of action

what a bitch! in the 14 team league i have the 3rd highest scoring team.
...and i can see my team (afc Better) getting eliminated.
im up against TB_Pirates who has LT

So much for me saying no more Chinese food!
40 hours in bed with a fever ..not good and not fun.

Thursday started ok. Ms AV came over and brought a McD’s breakfast. I went to the gym at 3pm. Came back had a protein shake and then at about 6pm my body started to feel awful. I’ve slept between 6 and 8pm since ive been back so I tried to sleep it off but I had to get up to puke a couple of times. Ewww!

My body was burning up but I felt so cold. My mum tells me I have a fever and she made me some congee …which was fantastic.

So yesterday I was stuck in bed. I couldn’t do anything as my body was too weak.
I tried to use the net in the morning but my head hurt from reading. I couldn’t get a grip with my hands so I couldn’t play any games. So I just stayed in bed.

From 8am to 10pm I just lay in bed with the tv on. I fell asleep a few times and ate more congee. Such a waste of a day. At least I feel better now …and no more Chinese food!
…well, we’ll see.

Its good to be back home in London.
Singapore for 1 week and Malaysia for 2 weeks.

Gotta say, my holiday was a bit of a disappointment.
I really didn’t get up to much and nothing exciting happened.

My cousins wedding went ok and the tea ceremony was a bit of a laugh.
Being around family is ok for a day, but for 2/3 days it becomes such a bore.
I didn’t speak too much either.
They all speak broken English and I can’t speak any mandarin.
Most of my cousins had grown up and left home so I didn’t see many of them apart from the wedding.

It was only during the final 4 days when I was with my New Haven cousins that I did anything of interest. We stayed in KL and just went out all the time. They flew back home to England last Saturday.

I hated the weather, too hot. I love being cold.
Oh and I am sick and tired of Chinese food. I had too much too often.
No more of that for me …well, we’ll see.

Fantasy update…
I have the third highest scoring team but i am only 6th in the league.
My matchups haven’t been great so my record is won 4, lost 4.

Flying off to sunny
Malaysia and Singapore in a couple of weeks.
I haven’t been there since 2003 so itll be good to see most of my relatives again. My younger cousins from Brighton will be there a week after me and their dad booked a resort for us three in …i dunno, one of the islands.

Being in two places at once…
This Saturday is one of our friends missus’ birthday.
Typical dinner and a night out after. Usual crowd with couples.
Someone else has organised a night out for this Saturday …a fun night out.
I want to be there …so do most of the guys. The birthday couple don’t get along with the organiser.
Understandably, the guys don’t want to bring their girlfriends.

So the plan is…
We eat and then go to the birthday girls choice of venue.
And then… we start a fight!
We get chucked out and then we guys head off to the other place.
We’ll probably just start a fight with each other and then say we went home or spent the night in a cell.
Not my idea, but i think it could work.

Its that time of the year again…

With the number 11 pick, Ray BTY head coach of afc Better selects the 2005 NFL Rookie of the Year Cadillac Williams.

As the start of the 2006 NFL season begins, so does my fantasy league.
If you’ve ever stumbled upon here during the last couple of years it something I keep on going on about.
Last year I was in two NFL fantasy leagues …and I won them both.
This year out of 14 teams I ended up with the number 11 draft choice.
Only the top 6 teams will get into the playoffs
The live on-line draft lasted almost 2 hours and it was fun chatting with the other 13 players.

And so to my team:
Round 1: pick 11 – RB: Cadillac Williams
Round 2: pick 18 – WR: Larry Fitzgerald
Round 3: pick 39 – RB: Frank Gore
Round 4: pick 46 – RB: Thomas Jones
Round 5: pick 67 – WR: Javon Walker
Round 6: pick 74 – QB: Mike Vick

In total there were 21 rounds and even I cant be bothered to copy and paste all of that here.
It’s a good team but as the games are head to head I just have to hope to get lucky like last year.
